Prayers During the Coronavirus

March 27, 2020 @ 12:00 am - July 31, 2020 @ 12:00 am

Merciful Lord, visit us in our time of need and affliction, and as You healed Jairus’ daughter and raised her from her bed of infirmity, visit your servant, Master, and deliver him/her from sickness and pain. For You alone have born the sickness and affliction of our world and with You nothing is impossible. For You are all-merciful and to You we ascribe glory and adoration forever. Amen.

Fr Andrew emails a Psalm and prayer each day since the Chapel was ordered closed due to the coronavirus; he will continue doing so until the Chapel re-opens. We are praying the psalms together following a practice that Fr Andrew learned about in his first parish in Alberta, Canada. In times of sickness and suffering, the priest would be invited to the individual’s house to read the Book of Psalms. Since we are social distancing and cannot read the psalms together, we are reading the psalms at home with our families.
