“The old New Lenox train depot made its estimated 6-mile move Wednesday morning from Church Street to its new home at Walt Konow’s farm, causing quite a stir in the process. Crowds gathered to watch and photograph the depot, raised up on wheels, make its way about 8:45 a.m. Utility crews monitored wires, and law enforcement blocked traffic. Once the depot is settled in its new location, 16849 Cedar Road in Homer Glen, it is planned to be named a Will County historic site.”
